Youth Alliance for Change Kenya (YACK) was founded in 2012 by a group of sexual and gender minority individuals in response to the discrimination and lack of access to essential services they faced. Based in Up-country Kenya, with a focus on Nyanza Province and four surrounding counties, YACK is a youth-led Non-State Community Based Organization (CBO) dedicated to defending the rights of vulnerable rural LGBTQ and Sex Workers communities.
We lead change toward legal and social justice, safety, inclusion, and diversity for sexual and gender minorities and challenge oppressive norms and promote equal rights.
