The objectives of the Climate Action & Environment Sustainability project are multifaceted and aim to ensure the integration of LGBTIQ recognition within the broader framework of environmental and climate sustainability. Firstly, the project seeks to secure explicit recognition of LGBTIQ individuals within climate adaptation and mitigation strategies, guaranteeing their inclusion in efforts to address environmental challenges. Additionally, it aims to advocate for the active participation of LGBTIQ voices in decision-making processes at the County Integration Development Plan (CIDP) level, thus amplifying their influence in shaping local climate action initiatives. Another key objective is to address the disproportionate hardships faced by LGBTIQ individuals due to climate violence, which exacerbates social, human basic needs, and economic inequalities within the community.
